Lapis Lazuli Carving of a Pair of Macaws by Peter Muller :Brazil
This large scale sculpture comprises two Macaws, each carved from jewelry grade lapis lazuli, with integral heads and inset tail feathers. Accented with yellow jasper checks and, cabochon rubellite tourmaline eyes and black onyx beaks. The gold vermeil feet rest upon an albite base which features inclusions of tourmaline. Raised on a two-tier base of black granite. Birds measuring approximately 12in (30.5cm) in height. Overall measuring 17 x 11 x 8in (43.2 x 28 x 20.3cm)
